#EvilDeadRise X TikTokOne of the things I love most about my job is finding ways to reach audiences we normally wouldn't easily reach. Gen-Z and Millennials (including myself) grew up with the internet. This generation can smell advertisements from far away. Due to that, they are less/not affected by regular advertisements. This is a generation that you have to entertain or educate to make them believe in your product(s). Our mission was to reach the core IG & TikTok audience (16-34) via organic content on both social media platforms, who usually are harder to stimulate to go do/see something. To adapt to the target audience its wants and needs, we teamed up with rising TikTok sensation Akaluuk (Luuk van Leeuwen) to give a fun, playful twist to efficiently promote our latest horror film. Luuk hosted the Dutch premiere and interviewed several content creators on the carpet before the film and asked for their reactions post-film.This led to fun, relatable and engaging answers from our guests which were captured in two videos, exclusively catered to TikTok. In total, we reached millions of people through this event (IG & TikTok) and even generated 170K+ views on both organic TikTok videos. This shows that even an account with no/very little following can reach its audience as long as they talk with them, not to them. 💖🌈 WELCOME TO BARBIELAND 🌈💖When WB announced its Barbie release, my wildest dream came true. A movie so iconically made with a brand that has such a household name. And which has a very personal touch from a kid that used to get bullied badly in school because of being a guy that played with Barbies.I love that we have a movie and campaign that strives for inclusivity in all meanings of that word. I am not easily impressed or proud by my own work as I am a super critical and perfectionistic person. Always putting the bar way higher than previous campaigns. But proudly, I can say that the #BarbieTheMovie campaign is one that we truly 💅slayed💅at WB Holland.With our very small team, we have created a campaign with many touch points to generate organic social output. From a Barbie tram in Amsterdam, to a partnership with TikTok sensation Alejandro Zwartendijk (including attendance at EU premiere and an interview with Margot Robbie & Ryan Gosling), a summer take over at Pink Beach Amsterdam with amazing movie themed photo opps, and hosting a very iconic movie premiere and after party in Amsterdam.By breaking all national organic social out reach records and reaching a multi-million audience. And with that said, I want to say thank you, to my managers Ester Demilt & Menno Ribbelink to trust me on my (sometimes wild) ideas. By pushing through certain concepts that might be risky and won’t immediately guarantee a positive ROI. For the release of #ElvisMovie and it’s soundtrack, we really wanted to intrigue the GenZ audience to get inspired by Elvis in a new and creative way. By teaming up with and Sony Music Entertainment NL, we can proudly say that we have surpassed all expectations on reaching the younger demographic and carry on the power of the icon himself.
