Osmanthus
Also known as "Gui Hua" (orange blossom). Its highly pleasant peach-like
taste makes a fine additive to green tea and oolong tea. Osmanthus tea can
be taken with honey or by itself. Osmanthus also makes an excellent food ingredient
adding enticing taste and color to desserts and dishes.
Origin: Fujian
Rose
Buds
Young rose buds freshly gathered and dried. It blends with green tea, oolong
tea and black tea harmoniously. Rose petal tea is thought to act as a mild
sedative, anti-depressant and anti-inflammatory agent. Rose petals add enticing
taste and color to desserts.

Tip Extended brewing time will yield a more intense taste of the tea, but will reduce the number of infusions. When adding osmanthus flowers, rose petals, wolfberry, longan into desserts and dishes, soak them with lukewarm water beforehand. |
